The tour starts out at the Smith's Woods lot near the Butterfly Garden.
We tour the White trail, including the private Gazebo.
Then it's on to the Red trail loop, counter-clockwise around to the River Street access point.
Keep your eyes peeled for a few appearances of the North Branch of the Rancocas Creek.
Next, we move on to explore the Mansion area, before heading southward down Smithville Road.
We're back on to the Smith's Woods loop, this time clockwise back to the Municipal lot on East Railroad Avenue.
Finally, we head north to see the views of the majestic Smithville Lake and hear the roar of the mini "waterfall".
Overall, I enjoyed the park and all it had to offer.
The Smith's Woods trail loop was fast and plenty wide, even though it was crowded at times.
The Mansion area sent me briefly back in time with its historical vibe.
And the many water features and bridges along the way were quite pleasing to the eye.
I even hiked the Ravine Nature Trail at the end of my ride, which really put a cherry on top of an already wonderful afternoon.
If you make the trip, I'm betting you'll have as much fun as I did!
Be sure to check out the Burlington County Parks department website before you head out for info and trail maps:
