Wilier Filante SLR Ramato + Campy Super Record Wireless
Ramato is the name of the early Italian lugged steel road bike that Wilier used as a canvas for their pioneering chrome-plated painting process to finish the first galvanized bikes. The result was the uniquely stunning glossy copper & chrome finish.
Wilier teased its return in this limited edition modern retro lugged steel Superleggera Ramato in 2015 in chrome-plated glory. Then, they adapted the high-gloss copper finish for their carbon aero Cento10AIR Ramato celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Giro d’Italia a year and a half later for Filippo Pozzato.
Now, Ramato is back again on another modern carbon bike, this time the all-rounder Filante SLR.

Wilier describes the new Filante SLR Ramato edition as an homage to the bikemaker’s history in northern Italy – with a copper front end, chromed seatstays, and modern gloss black in between. Originally just a limited edition, now you can get a Ramato edition of their top-tier modern carbon road bikes for an extra fifteen hundred euros over the standard frameset alone.

Doing a little comparison math suggests this bike should retail for around 14,500€. Curiously, Wilier hasn’t yet mentioned exactly how much this complete Filante SLR Ramato built up with Campagnolo Super Record Wireless will cost you. We know for sure that the Ramato frameset alone sells for 6500€, and the new Campy groupset could add 5200€ retail on top of that. So it sounds like a case of: “if you have to ask, you can’t afford it”.
