Returning to a Bike Park I helped build 14 years ago | Highbridge Bike Park, NYC
Over 14 Years ago I was lucky enough to help bring the first EVER legal bike trails to New York City. I worked with IMBA, Alpine Trail Designs and my good friend Kyle Ebbett to turn a vacant lot into a bike riders dream spot. Working on this project was SO AWESOME. When we first broke ground the locals had no idea what we were doing. Kids from the neighborhood would come over and run around on their feet all over our freshly built jumps and rollers. The excitement level was so high it was impossible to even get upset, actually it was the opposite and we were actually OK seeing our work get trampled. Kyle would always lend kids his bike to ride and loved having them around. If you're ever in NYC with your bike swing by and check it out!
