60 riders selected to contest Life Time Grand Prix series in 2022
Life Time, which recently announced the launch of the six-race Life Time Grand Prix series, has now announced the 60 athletes that will compete for a combined purse of $250,000 in 2022.
Friday’s unveiling of the 60 named contenders represents an increase in the field size from what was initially announced as an expected list of 40 participating pros.
Amity Rockwell, Ruth Winder, Amber Neben, Lachlan Morton, Pete Stetina, and Colin Strickland are just a few of those selected to compete in the series, which will feature three races predominantly traversing gravel roads, and three mountain bike events.
The series will kick off in April with the Sea Otter Classic mountain bike race, followed by the Unbound Gravel race in June, the Crusher in the Tushar in July, the Leadville Trail 100 MTB in August, the Chequamegon MTB Festival in September, and the Big Sugar Gravel race in October.
Competitors will earn points based on their best five finishes out of the six events, with Big Sugar, the final race, serving as a potential tie breaker.
